My head has been blank the last few days. Not that it was densely packed before, but last few days was a total blank.
I've been running around, doing this and that. Sometimes I ran a whole day without getting jack shit done, thanks to our infamous public services.
I am preparing to leave for Shanghai, of course. It's the happening land of bombastic architecture and large breasted ladies. To think back, my grandparents weren't really economic migrants when they came to Malaya. Grandpa was running for his life at that time, he was a pioneer Commie on the run from Chiang Kai Shek's asshole goondoos (they killed my granduncle instead).
My grandparents sold off their eldest daughter in Hong Kong for a couple of tickets to the Tanah Melayu, and now I sold off my wife to balik TongSan.
Speaking of irony.
I'm not sure why I chose to leave this time, but I'll think about it later.
Maybe I can share some thoughts on that with you.

You take care, stevie, I heard they spit a lot. And it can get slippery!
rox, do i look out for the foamy type, or the phlegmy ones?
No, the invisible one, silly. If you can see it, I presume you'll avoid it? :)

hi stevie, rox,
i was there last week. snuck out as the limpic crowd was coming in.
just want you to know that i didn't catch even a hint of a hack, nevermind spitting. perhaps because i just kept around pudong and the bund.
that town is in serious comeback mode though. she's finding her groove and i got the impression she hasn't forgetten how to be chic and cosmopolitan.
p.s. btw stevie, just want you to know that back in gotham, mike has put in bike lanes all over the five burroughs to make it safer for the paddlers. and this has been the most gorgeous summer for biking in prolly two decades.

apa khabar, olang tongsan? don't you think it's about time you update your blog? we are dying from the onslaught of depressing blog posts here... :-)
hope that you are enjoying your new place.. altho' methinks that going over in the midst of the olympic games can be a wee bit overwhelming and not to mentioned, expensive.
Hey Stevie, I don't have your e-mail address. Can you send an e-mail to my e-mail address?
